Sash
Target Scope
Sash, except the following:
1) ones made of iron or wood,
2) ones not used for single hung and double hung windows, single sliding windows, double sliding windows, separate sliding windows and single-sliding double windows, fixed windows, outward projecting windows, and vertical projected windows (excluding bay windows for each),
3) ones which are structured to be integrated with storm shutters, sliding shutters or bars,
4) ones which are structured for installation to an outer wall by being welded to the outer wall and being embedded in a cavity that contacts the outer wall via mortar,
5) ones other than those structured for waterproofing using waterproof paper, or
6) ones which serve as a safeguard against fire as defined in the Building Standards Act (Law No. 201, 1950), Article 2-9-2(ii).
Heat Loss Prevention Performance
Heat loss prevention performance shall be a value (W/K) obtained by multiplying the heat transmission coefficient (W/(m2・K)) , found by the method stipulated in JIS A 4710 (2015) , JIS A 2102-1 (2015) or JIS A 2102-2 (2011), by the window surface area (m2) framed by sash with use of window glass specified for each type of sash and the sash.
Categories & Target Standard Values
In the target fiscal year and each subsequent fiscal year, for each category, the weighted average value obtained by weighting heat loss prevention performance with shipment volume shall not be above the target standard value which is a weighted average value obtained by weighting standard heat loss prevention performance*1 with shipment volume.
*1: Value obtained from the standard heat loss prevention performance calculation formulas. |

Target Fiscal Year
FY2022 and each subsequent fiscal year
Performance Improvement
●For sash falling into the “single hung” category, heat loss prevention performance is expected to be improved by 6.40% compared with the FY2012 level in the target fiscal year (FY2022).
●For sash falling into the “double sliding” category, heat loss prevention performance is expected to be improved by 15.49% compared with the FY2012 level in the target fiscal year (FY2022).
●For sash falling into the “fix” category, heat loss prevention performance is expected to be improved by 7.81% compared with the FY2012 level in the target fiscal year (FY2022).
●For sash falling into the “outward projecting” category, heat loss prevention performance is expected to be improved by 3.04% compared with the FY2012 level in the target fiscal year (FY2022).
●For sash falling into the “vertical projected” category, heat loss prevention performance is expected to be improved by 6.94% compared with the FY2012 level in the target fiscal year (FY2022).
* Estimated based on the typical sash size. |
