1. Purpose

Japan decided to decommission 15 reactors up until today. With more and more NPPs being decided to be decommissioned recently under the current circumstance of the electricity market liberalization, this workshop aims to have Japanese utilities and the regulatory authority, learn more about the various efforts which have been made to optimize the process of decommissioning the NPPs worldwide.
